WIND Gala Celebration

Thursday, November 7 in the Gateway Center at 22nd and Grand in Laramie

3:00 p.m. - Kim Nielsen presentation "Disability History, Disability Justice & Future Directions"

4:00 p.m. - WIND Gala and reception, hors d'oeuvres and cash bar

The Gala will feature Dr. Kim Nielsen, Professor and Program Chair of Disability Studies at the University of Toledo. Dr. Nielsen is the author of A Disability History of the United States, and she will be presenting on the importance of understanding disability historically in order to contextualize contemporary disability policy and advocacy issues and to provide insight for future efforts in disability rights.
