Project SCOPE Credit Information

We are pleased to offer several professional development credit options for your participation in the UW ECHO networks. The following credit options are available for participants in any of the Education or Families networks.

For Ohio Participants:

After attending and completing the required material, participants may be awarded continuing professional development units for service coordination and supervisor training in the category of early intervention by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. Participants may also be rewarded continuing professional development units for developmental specialist/ early intervention supervisor by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. The total number of credits awarded will be based on the total number of sessions participants attend. Each session is worth 1.5 hours of credit.

1.5 hours of Step Up to Quality credit is also available.

For Wyoming Participants:

Professional Teaching Standards Board Credit (PTSB)

PTSB credit will be awarded in mid-June after the sessions have concluded.

Credit Available: 0.5 PTSB credit for every 6 live sessions attended.
To receive credit for attending the live sessions, you will need to complete the following:

  1. Complete the baseline survey. At your first session, you will receive a link to the session evaluation and baseline survey.

  2. Attend the live sessions AND complete the session evaluations that are emailed to you after each session.

  3. Complete the post-test. A link to the post-test will be emailed to all participants at the end of the series in June.

UW Graduate Credit

UW graduate credit is awarded twice an academic year, once in December for the fall semester and once in May for the spring semester. You may earn up to 2 credit hours each semester. It is strongly recommended that you seek only 1 credit each semester. Each credit hour requires a $50 registration fee which must be paid with a credit card online.

To receive credit, you will need to complete the following:

  1. Submit your information on the UW Graduate credit request form. Instructions on how to register and pay will be emailed to you.

  2. [Fall semester credit only] Complete the UW ECHO pre-test. A link will be emailed to participants.

  3. For each credit hour, attend 12 live sessions and complete the session evaluation (1 credit = 12 live sessions, 2 credits = 24 live sessions). You may mix and match sessions from different networks.

  4. For each credit hour, present a professional development training or a case presentation (1 credit = 1 PD/case, 2 credits = 2 PDs/cases).

  5. [Spring semester credit only] Complete the UW ECHO post-test. A link will be emailed to participants.

STARS Credit

STARS credit is available for participants of the UW ECHO in Assistive Technology, Autism, Behavior Supports, and Early Childhood networks.

Live Session Participation

Credit Available: 1.0 standard clock hour per session attended.
To receive credit for attending the live sessions, you will need to complete the following:

  1. Complete the baseline survey. At your first session, you will receive a link to the session evaluation and baseline survey.

  2. Attend the live sessions in the above networks AND complete the session evaluations that are emailed to you after each session.

  3. Complete the post-test. A link to the post-test will be emailed to all participants at the end of the series in June.

Certificate of Attendance

Certificates will be sent to participants in December and May. You will earn 1.5 contact hours for each session you attend.

To receive a certificate, you will need to complete the following:

Spring Semester Sessions

  1. Complete the baseline survey. At your first session, you will receive a link to the session evaluation and baseline survey.

  2. Attend live UW ECHO sessions and submit corresponding session evaluations.

  3. Complete the post-test. A link to the post-test will be emailed to all participants at the end of the series in June.

  4. The deadline for all requirements is Monday, June 17. Certificates will be emailed on Friday, June 21.
