They wrote, “In all cases, the nominee demonstrates a commitment to the clientele he serves. He is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that his products are professional, well-written or well-presented, and are meaningful and accessible to those for whom they are intended…he not only walks-the-walk of excellence in his educational programs, but also is a true ambassador of that excellence in his interactions with colleagues across the campus and across the state of Wyoming.”
Upon receiving the award, Dr. Weigel stated, “I’ve had the privilege of working in outstanding land-grant universities in Iowa, Kansas, and Georgia; but by far the most rewarding has been working with colleagues in the UW College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and UW Extension.”
The awardee’s success, commitment and impact on Extension was recognized by his selection as the recipient of the 2012 National Extension Family Life Career Achievement Award.
