New Wyoming Act Early program

Wyoming Institute for Disabilities (WIND) was awarded funding for a Learn the Signs. Act Early. State Systems grant from the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs. The goal of Wyoming Act Early is to raise awareness among parents, day care providers, early childhood education specialists, public health home visitors and other health care providers of the importance of early identification of developmental delay.  

Wyoming Act Early is a collaborative effort between WIND, Wyoming Family to Family Health Information Center, UPLIFT-Wyoming Federation of Families, and Wyoming Department of Health- Public Health Division. Wyoming Act Early plans to launch a website to provide information and materials to parents and professionals about early identification. Other information activities include distributing a booklet prepared by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention entitled Milestone Moments in English and Spanish through direct mail and the Wyoming Act Early partners to increase awareness about the importance of developmental milestones in early child development.
