Laurie Marquardt Westlake, Ph.D.


Laurie Marquardt Westlake is the coordinator for early childhood programs, which includes early childhood/ early childhood special education, curriculum and instruction, and inclusion in early childhood.

Dr. Westlake joined the Wyoming Institute for Disabilities in 1998. She serves as the principal investigator for the Wyoming Lions Early Childhood Vision Project as well as the Head Start State Collaboration Office, and oversees the TANF Preschool Program. Dr. Westlake instructs as an assistant lecturer at the University of Wyoming teaching courses in early childhood/early childhood special education. She also serves on the Governor’s Early Intervention Council and as Secretary of the Wyoming Early Childhood Partnership Board.

Dr. Westlake earned her Ph.D. in education, early childhood/early childhood special education and master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Wyoming.
