Institute Goals

  1. Support and strengthen personal and professional relationships among Wyoming’s secondary and postsecondary social sciences faculty.
  2. Identify common struggles in promoting critical thinking for students at the secondary and postsecondary levels. Work through several complex problems examining strategies appropriate for secondary and postsecondary students.  
  3. Examine Common Core State Standards in reading, writing, and critical thinking and connect to anthropology, geography, history, and political science course work.
  4. Address common concerns and challenges around dual/concurrent enrollment courses.
