Website and Social Media Expansion

    During the times of COVID-19, one thing that has become clear is the opportunity for technological communication to relay information throughout the state. WSUP has taken this time to grow our social media interactions and our website to meet the needs of professional educators at all levels.

     The website (https://www.uwyo.edu/wsup) has been updated to house information on credible resources that may benefit teachers, parents, and students. In addition, we are working to consistently update the website with information on new partnership collaborations that present helpful information for our educators in Wyoming. Some of these include the Inspire Teaching free professional development resources and annual support that is given to capstone courses such as “Voices from the Field” at Wind River High School. We have also updated the website to provide anonymous opportunities for teachers and other education staff to share ideas and needs that they feel WSUP may be able to assist with in future resource development and collaboration.

     The social media aspect has grown as we currently have a Facebook page that highlights resources, professional development, opportunities, and calls for collaboration. Recently, we have been sharing the National Network for Education Renewal events so that our partner institutions can also find out what work is being done on a national level. In addition, we are working to act as a hub for information from various Wyoming state educational organizations so that teachers can learn quickly about what information could benefit their students or their institutional settings.
