Advice for College Success

START STRONG created by Wyoming college teachers and professors for Wyoming students taking college-level courses.  Some of these courses are taught in high school settings, others at one of Wyoming’s seven community colleges or the university.

Wyoming college teachers and professors want you to be successful in your college-level work. One way to do that is to START STRONG.  Be in the know, understand the language of college, and learn what successful students have to say.

Explore the website!  You will find specific information about five key content areas:  mathematics, sciences, social sciences, world languages, and writing.  To earn an associate’s or bachelor’s degree, you will take courses in these areas.  Some of you might identify a major in the content area.

We also have a section called HOW TO COLLEGE. Here, you will find tips about being successful in college overall, including resources to learn more about the soft skills of success.

Please explore, enjoy, and share the website. Know that Wyoming high school, community college, and university instructors are committed to your success, you can do it!
