Founded in 2009, the Wyoming Carbon Capture and Storage Technology Institute (WCTI) provides CCS technology training. 

The WCTI is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and by the Wyoming State Legislature under the Abandoned Mine Land (AML) program.   The WCTI provides a rigorous, practical and up-to-date education in CCS technologies via short courses and workshops, which have been developed by academic, industry, and government experts. WCTI also provides regional CCS training and activities through outreach and networking.
