Fisher Innovation Challenge
After much thoughtful deliberation by the judging panel, the decision has been made to proceed with all 11 semi-finalists to the next round of the Fisher Innovation Challenge. The WTBC is excited to announce an increase in the seed funding by $25,000. Therefore, the 2016 Fisher Innovation Challenge seed fund will now be $125,000. This generous increase in funding will allow for more qualifiers to be named on Pitch Day. Here are the Fisher Innovation Challenge Finalists.
Individual invitations to meet with the WTBC business counselors will be emailed to the primary contact of each of these companies. WTBC looks forward to working with you!
Educating Wyoming Entrepreneurs
WTBC was launched in 2006 as part of the University of Wyoming’s mission to provide affordable higher education of the highest quality; technology transfer and economic and community development. The WTBC’s incubator program is focused on educating and supporting business start-ups throughout the state. WTBC is headquartered on the campus of the University of Wyoming with two additional facilities located in Casper and Sheridan. Our facilities offer a variety of laboratory, office, and shared conference room space for client companies and our Laramie location offers collocation space in a state-of-the-art data center.
The WTBC focuses on developing early stage, technology-based companies, with an emphasis on high-growth firms. All client companies located in the incubator receive one-on-one business counseling and executive coaching services provided by the WTBC staff based on their stage of development. WTBC counseling is focused on educating entrepreneurs on business activities essential for growth in each stage and helping the entrepreneur to focus on relevant activities for the stage they are currently in. Our program is designed to help client companies grow larger and faster than they would otherwise, and to increase the ability of the entrepreneurs to grow and manage their own businesses.
Statewide networking opportunities are available through an educational networking group called e2e Wyoming that is designed to improve the climate for the start-up and growth of entrepreneurial companies.
