Shaye is from Casper, Wyoming. She graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and minors in Spanish and Chemistry. She is intrigued by the dynamic nature of both science and medicine as well as the importance of the doctor-patient relationship for good health outcomes. Shaye is currently interested in Surgery, but is excited to learn more about other fields. Her interest in medicine began as far back as she can remember and interests in surgery began in high school and college where she had the opportunity to shadow multiple surgeons. After graduating she took a year off to work as a Surgical Technician in Rawlins where she further fueled her interests in surgery. In her free time, she loves to travel and be outside fishing, hiking, biking, and especially skiing with her fiancé Cameron and their energetic dog Dobby.
