A native of Laramie, WY, Heidi attended the University of Wyoming, graduating with a dual degree in Molecular Biology and Physiology with minors in Music and the Honors Program. During her time college, she actively participated in campus organizations such as the UW Symphony Orchestra, Mortar Board, and Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-professional Health Society, as well as spent a semester studying abroad in Glasgow, Scotland. Originally drawn to medicine by being amazed by the inner-workings of the human body, Heidi’s passion for medicine has continued to grow as she learns more about how health care functions at the intersection of physiology, sociology, and psychology. Still undecided on a medical specialty, Heidi hopes that her medical education will guide her interests towards a specific area of practice. In her free time she enjoys playing violin and piano, skiing, and training for triathlons.
