Michael is from Wright, Wyoming. He graduated from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa, where he majored in biology and chemistry and competed on the school’s football team for two years. After football, Michael became a part of residence life and was able to continue exploring his interest in medicine. His love of medicine began in high school after being injured many times, and realizing what a difference doctors make in a person’s life. He is interested in surgery and cardiology but is very excited to learn about other areas in medicine and will definitely keep his mind open to other options. In his free time, Michael enjoys lifting weights, playing video games and solving Rubik’s Cubes. He is very grateful for the opportunity to be in the WWAMI program and can’t wait to pursue his medical education.
