Bret grew up in Casper, WY and graduated from Doane University in 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in biology and a minor in Spanish. Bret's passion for medicine stemmed from the lifesaving surgeries his sister received as a child and expanded in his personal experiences as a Certified Medical Assistant for Wyoming Medical Center. During his time as a CMA he worked in orthopedic/neurosurgery, primary care, endocrinology/diabetes, and in Casper's respiratory clinic during the COVID-19 pandemic. Bret is looking forward to learning about all facets of medicine and will keep an open mind when choosing his desired field of practice. In college, Bret played middle linebacker for Doane's football team, sang in multiple choirs on a music scholarship, and performed in all four spring musicals with the theater department. He loves everything outdoors, and will hike, fish, backpack, or hunt any chance he gets!
