Tristan is from Powell, Wyoming and graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor's in physiology and minors in psychology, neuroscience, and honors in 2020. After graduating, she continued to work and volunteer in Laramie and was a volunteer staff member for Campus Ventures, a campus ministry. Tristan’s interest in medicine was sparked after shadowing her dad (a family medicine doctor) during work experience in high school. Her decision to pursue medicine was later confirmed through shadowing experiences and volunteer opportunities. Tristan is currently interested in the field of family medicine, specifically in a rural area where building relationships with patients and the practice of medicine intersect. However, she’s open-minded and excited to explore other specialties as she enters medical school. In her free time, Tristan enjoys going to the mountains, hiking, camping, reading, getting coffee with friends, and playing cards and board games.
