Hosted by the Wyoming Geographic Information Science Center

with sponsorship by the Governor’s Energy Strategy Initiative

and the Wyoming Department of Enterprise Technology Services

Pre-registration is requested.

(no charge to participate; see details below)

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The purpose of this workshop is to gain input from potential data providers and end users on the design of two new digital mapping resources currently under development by the State of Wyoming and University of Wyoming: a new geospatial data clearinghouse; and a “pre-EIS focused” natural resource planning support map application to assist in evaluating future resource development activities.  Our goal is to understand stakeholders’ needs and preferences in terms of geospatial data content and mapping functionality to help guide construction and implementation of these information technology tools over the next 12 months.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Representatives from industry, NGOs, and all levels of government with interests in natural resources development, management and conservation, community planning, and economic development are encouraged to attend.

Along with GIS professionals, we encourage participation and the perspectives of resource specialists, managers and decision makers.

HOW TO REGISTER…

There is no charge to attend this event. However, in order to tailor the program to participants’ interest, we request that you pre-register online by December 13th by visiting: http://goo.gl/UzqXwf
