WyoBio Mobile App Screen Capture WyoBio Mobile App Released

December 10, 2015 — The WyoBio mobile app enables citizen scientists to report species observations and photos for Wyoming. The app is now enables the Wyoming Biodiversity Citizen Science Initiative (WyoBio) to go into the field with users. Observations are associated with the contributors account, and can be viewed and interacted with on the online map application for WyoBio.

The Wyoming Water and Climate Web Atlas

October 12, 2015 — Chris Nicholson, Director Water Resources Data System & Wyoming State Climate Office. The Water Resources Data System and Wyoming State Climate Office at the University of Wyoming, in partnership with the Wyoming Water Development Office and WyGISC, has developed an online web-mapping tool to explore and deliver climate, weather, snowpack, stream flow, and State water development information. As more and more people use the web to get local, regional, and state information on Wyoming’s water resource, we have taken the opportunity to make water and climate data available using customized ArcGIS Server maps. This Web Atlas allows water users, managers, and their consultants to examine numerous aspects of Wyoming water and climate systems simultaneously for access to important sources of data and information.

Citizens Team with UW to Chart Wyoming’s Flora and Fauna

September 1, 2015 — Rebecca Walsh, of Laramie, and her family hit the Blair Wallis Trail east of Laramie before sunrise July 18 to participate in the family’s first citizen science project, Summer Moose Day. The University of Wyoming Biodiversity Institute sponsored the inaugural event.

GeoHub Geospatial Hub V1.5 Updates

June 16, 2015 — The Wyoming Geospatial Hub v1.5 is live. Updates to the GeoHub include a complete redesign of the GeoHub Imagery Application, a brand new GeoExperts Application, and additional datasets (with more being added frequently).
