Wyoming is one of the leading oil producing states in the US. To maximize production, producers are currently employing enhanced and improved oil recovery (EOR/IOR) techniques. These methods extract oil from hydrocarbon resources deemed uneconomic or inaccessible through traditional methods. This talk presents a GIS-supported web application developed by WyGISC to (1) provide users with access to oil reservoir data as well as geospatial mapping and analytical tools, and (2) promote coordinated EOR/IOR activities in Wyoming.
