WyGISC personnel recently presented at the University of Wyoming Agriculture Experiment Stations R & E Planning meeting

On February 23, 2011, WyGISC employees Wendy Berelson and Shawn Lanning presented a new web-based mapping application at the annual University of Wyoming Agriculture Experiment Stations R& E Planning meeting.  The new application is the accumulation of 6 months of work by WyGISC team members Wendy Berelson, Shawn Lanning, and Phil Polzer.  During this time the team compiled, sorted, and formatted all crop related GIS data for the SAREC experiment station (Lingle, WY).  The crop history application not only provides SAREC researchers with the ability to view the data, but also provides a set of analysis tools to further explore the data using query, measurement, and study area sight proposal techniques.

The presentation was well received, and generated some excellent discussion about enhanced tools that could be created in future phases of the project; and the possibility of extending the application for the other research stations in the state.

Below are a few screen captures highlighting the  SAREC Crop History Application.
