Project Description:
The Integrated Resource Management Analyst (IRMA) is a web-based resource analysis application that allows Wyoming NRCS employees to quickly and easily, assess cultural resources and wildlife resources. It uses the latest in GIS technology but because it is web-based, does not require the user to have GIS software loaded on their machine. All they need is a modern web browser.

IRMA is an updated application that includes two earlier applications - the Cultural Assets and Resources Locator (CARL) and the Wildlife Inventory and Resources Locator (WIRL), which were designed to help NRCS assess cultural and wildlife resource information in order to guide implementation of cooperator's conservation practices.

Based on customizable areas of interest, reports are generated detailing both cultural resource and wildlife resource issues. These reports are fed back to State Historic and Preservation Office (SHPO) and Wyoming Game and Fish Department (WGFD) as well as to various resource specialists and to the appropriate customer file at the field office. These outputs assist the NRCS in complying with the Wyoming SHPO and help the agency work efficiently and effectively with the WGFD. The time savings to the NRCS from previous paper and fax methods can be measured in many thousands of dollars over the course of a year. IRMA is designed to be able to add additional modules over time.
