Species Abstracts, Summaries, and Status Reports

WYNDD maintains current information on the ecology, trends, and status of vegetation types and rare species in Wyoming. Our biologists commonly prepare summary and status reports for particular species, often including range maps at the continental, regional, and state scales, as well as discussions of information gaps and research needs.

Requests for information of this type require direct contact with our staff to discuss details and cost. In general, requests of this nature that require less than 1 hour of staff time are answered free of charge; requests that require more staff time are usually handled as separate contracts or cost-share projects between WYNDD and the data requester.

Additionally, one of our primary goals is to provide a Species Abstract for each taxon that we track. Abstracts act as an expanded field guide with maps, illustrations, and photos of both the species and its habitat.
