Nonvascular Plants

A preliminary list of rare nonvascular plant species will be released in 2012. All nonvascular plants will be placed on the watch list because most of the status information is preliminary and nonvascular floristic baselines are non-existent for much of the state. With few exceptions, only Wyoming’s bryophytes have a checklist of the state flora based on thorough specimen review that supports initial review of species’ rarity status.
