Building Evaluation CapacityIn January 2007, WYSAC presented a 1 ½ day workshop on evaluation skills to all ServeWyoming grantees, to all Wyoming National Service grantees, and to interested others. The purpose of the workshop was to build the evaluation capacity of nonprofit organizations, specifically ServeWyoming grantees. Using ServeWyoming terminology and models, the training included five topics: defining program goals and logic models; defining an evaluation of established program goals, including the development of performance measures; the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data; and data presentation. Marianne Zawitz of the Bureau of Justice Statistics provided the data presentation slides. Development of this workshop was funded by ServeWyoming. |
