Education

Ph.D. student, Environmental Soil Chemistry, University of Wyoming (2014 - present)
M.S., Environmental Engineering, Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, 2010
B.S., Environmental Science, Hebei University, 2007

Research Interests

My research interests are focused on the biogeochemistry of naturally occurring mineral nanoparticles and mineral-organic matter interactions. Currently, I am working on the interactions of layered manganese oxides with humic substances under various environmentally-relevant conditions. Synchrotron X-ray techniques (XRD, PDF and XAS), X-ray photoelectron, UV-vis, 13C NMR and FTIR spectroscopy, and electron microscopy.
