Wayne Hubert joined the coop unit as the Assistant Unit Leader for Fisheries in 1982 and moved to Unit Leader in 2005. He retired in 2010 and now serves as professor emeritus in the Department of Zoology and Physiology Dr. Hubert was educated with a bachelor's degree from Illinois State University (1969), master's degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale (1972), and Ph.D. from Virginia Tech (1979). He has served as an aquatic biologist with the Tennessee Valley Authority (1972-1979) and assistant leader of the Iowa Cooperative Fisheries Research Unit (1979-1982).
Research Interests:
Fish habitat and population management in the Rocky Mountains and Great Plains. Recent work has focused primarily on salmonids in large mountain watersheds and regulated rivers.
