First-Year, Full-Time Students
Saddle Up is required for all first-year, full-time domestic students attending the University of Wyoming in fall 2023.
Students earn one credit hour toward their degree upon successful completion of the Saddle Up program. Saddle Up utilizes S/U grading. To receive a satisfactory grade, students must attend all required events and actively participate in the course during the week of Saddle Up.
Limited Exemption Reviews
If you feel you may require additional review for exemption from Saddle Up, you must contact us at saddleup@uwyo.edu. Our waiver committee will review your request. Please note that very few situations will qualify a student for exemption from Saddle Up. Students who fail to attend without exemption approval will receive an unsatisfactory grade in the course and may be subject to review by the Dean of Students Office.
