Visit Campus

 

Are you passing through Laramie and want to tour our campus? We'd love to see you!

We offer drop-in campus tours at 2 p.m. (mountain time) every weekday that our office is open. Each campus tour is led by a current UW student who will highlight academic programs, resources, and student life. 

If you are visiting this week, let us know which day you are planning to attend and provide us your information so we know your are coming and can send you a parking permit in advance.

If you would like to request an appointment with an academic or area of interest, please schedule a Campus Visit at least a week prior to your desired visit date.

Parking Information:
Parking for campus tours is located just off of E. Ivinson and S. 13^th Street in the "Future Cowboy Parking" area.  Park in any of the “Future Cowboy Parking” spots as you enter the east side of the lot.
 
Important:  Upon arrival, check-in with the Campus Visitor Center to obtain your parking permit and place it in the front dashboard to avoid a ticket.
 
If all Future Cowboy Parking spots are full, feel free to pull into a metered spot on the other side of the lot.  You may also proceed to the meters that are in the Hoyt Hall Parking Lot, located north of E. Ivinson Street between 11th and 12th Streets, or the Ivinson Parking Garage at 1010 E. Ivinson Street.  In any of these areas, you don't need to pay the meter as long as you get a parking permit from the Campus Visitor Center and place it on the dashboard of your vehicle.
 
If you have a handicap placard, feel free to park in any accessible spot and place the permit in the dashboard of your car.
 
Check-in Information:
Once you have parked your car in a “Future Cowboy Parking” spot, follow the sidewalk up to the main steps of the Wyoming Union.  Enter the Union through the main doors and the Campus Visit Center is located directly to your left.
 
Get a glimpse of campus before you arrive with a view of the campus map.  You do not need to print this prior to your visit as we will provide you a map upon check-in.
