Plan Your Group Visit to UW

At the University of Wyoming, we welcome group visits from schools, organizations and other groups looking to explore our campus. Group visits are a great way to experience UW, with tours and presentations tailored to meet the needs of your group. Please request your group visit at least 3 weeks in advance to ensure availability. Our team will work with you to customize your visit, including providing information on academic programs, campus life and more.

Tailored Group Experience

We understand that each group has unique needs and we’re happy to tailor your visit to best fit your group’s interests. Whether you're bringing high school students, community organizations, or prospective students, we can customize the tour to focus on academic programs, student life, or other areas of interest. Once scheduled, please complete and return your student information packet to us within a week of your visit date to ensure we provide the most relevant information to your group.

We plan your visit schedule based on your stated arrival and departure times along with the availability of our students, faculty, staff and facilities. If you are running late or your schedule changes, please let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust or abbreviate your visit schedule as needed.

Yes! Please let us know of any special accommodations that are needed at least two weeks in advance of your visit. This will help ensure the best visit experience possible.

We do not require a specific student-to-chaperone ratio, but do require at least one chaperone per tour group. Please ensure chaperones are familiar with your visit schedule and are actively involved during the visit. We will do our best to accommodate your group. Please let us know your final guest and chaperone counts at least three days before your visit to ensure we are well prepared.

Our campus tours are outside, walking tours. Please ensure guests wear weather appropriate clothing and comfortable walking shoes.

Students are welcome to bring cell phones to campus and we encourage them to take pictures. We recommend that phones be on silent during the tour, admission presentations, and other planned activities to ensure students get the most out of their visit.

Yes! We encourage questions throughout the visit. Some groups opt to have student prepare questions in advance to enhance students experiences.

We welcome guests on campus, however, we reserve the right to stop tours and other activities if student behavior is not appropriate.
