Pokes Vote is a non-partisan cooperative campaign at the University of Wyoming focused on maximizing student civic engagement and leadership development through voter education, registration, and turn-out. Pokes Vote is committed to honesty, fairness, and the relentless effort to get college-aged students engaged in their democratic community by voting.

Pokes Vote events this year include Candidate Meet and Greets, voter rights presentations, a free dinner focused on civil conversation, the Gubernatorial debate, a concert mashup with StudioWyo, an Election Day Watch Party, and more! Commit to Vote Cards:

Find us tabling in the Union or at an event and fill out a commit to vote card and learn more about our upcoming programs!

Register to Vote:

In Wyoming you can register the same day if you are voting within the county you want to vote in. Make sure when you register or vote you are 18 years of age, a US Citizen, not a convicted felon, and you have not been adjudicated mentally incompetent.

You just need some form of ID: Driver’s License, Student ID, Passport, Social Security Card, Birth Certificate, Draft Record, Certificate of Naturalization, or Certification of Naturalization.

Register to vote in the State of Wyoming

Albany County (Laramie, Wyo). Visit the Albany County Courthouse, Election Office anytime of the year. Just follow this link to find location and what you need to register.

Register to vote in another state

Are you a proud Coloradan, Maylander or New Hampshirite? Like to cast a vote in your home state? No problem. All states have an absentee ballot system and it is a matter of filing for a mail-in ballot before the state specified deadline. For example, Secretary of State has an online application for absentee ballots.
