Historicorps-The JO Ranch

HistoriCorps is a nonprofit organization that engages volunteers to preserve American history on public lands across the USA. We'll have a project coming up in what I would call a "true west" setting: The JO Ranch in Carbon County, WY, which was most active in the late 1800's and early 1900's. We need volunteers on hand to rehabilitate and stabilize various buildings on the ranch, in order to preserve it for future generations. There aren't many places like the JO Ranch left in the world. HistoriCorps projects are  free to all volunteers.  HistoriCorps provides all meals, tools, materials, training, and protective equipment. Volunteers only provide their transportation to the JO Ranch and their camping equipment. We have  four weeks' worth of work in June and August. We're doing this project in collaboration with Cornerstones Community Partnerships of Santa Fe, NM and it is sponsored by the Bureau of Land Management. To learn more, please visit: .
