The University of Wyoming was the first university west of Missouri to offer correspondence courses. For nearly a century UW has sent its faculty across the state to meet with citizens, students, teachers, business owners, ranchers, and farmers to help them learn.

UW's colleges and departments offer courses, degree programs, and additional learning opportunities to students across the nation through online and combination deliveries. You can even take UW distance courses as a non-degree seeking student!  Most distance classes follow the same academic calendar as on-campus University of Wyoming classes.  In addition, many on-campus services provided through the University of Wyoming are available to distance students.

The Wyoming Transfer Catalog and UW Degree Plans may assist you in discovering how the courses you have taken at other institutions will transfer, and can be used to earn a degree at University of Wyoming!

Wyoming Transfer Advance is designed for students earning an associate’s degree (AA, AS, or AB) at a Wyoming community college and intending to transfer to the University of Wyoming to earn their bachelor’s degree. Transfer Advance connects Wyoming community college students with the right resources for a smooth and complete transition to UW.
