A minor in economics will deepen your understanding of economic institutions, policies, and issues, which will give you an edge in today's dynamic, uncertain world. Our economics minor will allow you to get a broad understanding of economics or to sharpen your focus on an area you want to learn more about.
To earn a minor in economics, students must first apply for admission to the minors program in the Student Success Center. To be admitted to the program, students must have a minimum 2.50 cumulative UW GPA. Students must maintain a cumulative 2.50 GPA in the required economics courses for the minor to be awarded.
