Leslie S. Rush is a professor in the Department of Secondary Education at the University of Wyoming, where she teaches courses in adolescent literacy, young adult literature, and English/language arts pedagogy. Dr. Rush has received the University of Wyoming's John P. Ellbogen Meritorious Classroom Teaching Award and the Promoting Intellectual Engagement in the First Year Award. Her research interests include literacy coaching in secondary schools, multiliteracies, critical literacy, and content area literacy. Dr. Rush's research on the work of Instructional Facilitators in Wyoming secondary schools was funded by the International Reading Association's Elva Knight Research Grant. Dr. Rush taught high school English for twelve years in California, Texas, and East Africa. An active member of NCTE and its affiliate organization, the Conference on English Education, Dr. Rush is the co-editor of the CEE journal, English Education. Dr. Rush has published in Reading Research and InstructionReading OnlineThe Rural Educator, and the Journal of  Literacy Research. In addition, she serves on the editorial review boards for Reading Research QuarterlyJournal of Literacy Research, and The Qualitative Report
