The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering is the most varied research department within the College of Engineering.  Electrical & Computer Engineering is also the foundation for six of the top twelve most impactful future technologies, and is important for all twelve, as indicated by the McKinsey Global Institute analysis.  Students who select Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) as their major can choose an emphasis in Bio-Medical Engineering, Computer Networks, High-Performance Computing (HPC), Augmented Reality (AR), Control Systems, Electrical Energy Systems, Electronic Systems and Devices, Robotics, or Signal Processing.   Learning from a diverse faculty group researching across disciplines, ECE students have a tremendous opportunity to gain solid fundamental skills in many aspects of Electrical & Computer Engineering.
