K-12 Opportunities!

Wyoming EPSCoR has a number of opportunities for Wyoming k-12 Teachers including trainings and resource tool boxes.

Teacher Trainings:

During the summer and fall Wyoming EPSCoR supports water-science teacher trainings through the Teton Science School and on the Wind River Indian Reservation.

Wyoming EPSCoR has teaching toolboxes available to Wyoming teachers to enhance water-science learning in the classroom!

Through a partnership with Utah EPSCoR and the Natural History Museum, the CI-WATER initiative developed teaching toolboxes for Wyoming and Utah teachers.

Teachers can request to use the toolbox through an easy online form.These resources allow teachers to explore a number of scientific ideas with K-12 students. The toolboxes include scientific content, such as polarity and solubility, active lessons and games, and personal, classroom and school investigations.

Themes in the toolbox include:

  • Properties of water

  • Water in the environment

  • Human use and impact

  • Next steps: "What do I do now?"
