ROaR! - Restoration Outreach and Research!

ROaR! is a Recognized Student Organization at the University of Wyoming and a Student Chapter of the American Society of Mining and Reclamation (ASMR). We provide a venue in which undergraduate and graduate students with an interest in reclamation and restoration of disturbed lands can assist local organizations on projects while gaining skills for success in their future careers and networking with others in the field.

A group of students with shovels and supplies are standing near raised garden beds on campus

Types of Activities that ROaR! is involved with include:

  • Laramie River Restoration project

  • Vedauwoo trail and campsite clean-ups

  • Roger's Canyon clean-up projects

  • Annual Spring Creek beautification project

  • Providing networking opportunities for both graduate and undergraduate students at UWYO
