Lambda Chi Alpha (Delta Rho Chapter)

Lambda Chi Alpha was founded at the University of Wyoming in 1998, which is relatively recent compared to the other fraternity organizations on campus. Lambda Chi lives by the motto "Every Man a Man," showing its drive for superior achievement through individual excellence every year. Lambda Chi Alpha also strives to teach men their seven core values that were established from West Point.

Many members of the chapter joined because they "saw Lambda Chi was something different.” Lambda Chi Alpha was the first national fraternity to outlaw hazing completely and also made it so that new members are no longer “pledges”. All new members are brought into the fraternity as Associate Members, and have all the same rights as the brothers.

Socially Lambda Chi Alpha hold events such as their annual White Rose and Founder’s Formal. They also hold dances each semester for the entire University with various themes.

Lambda Chi Alpha’s philanthropic activities include the North American Food Drive that they do each semester within Laramie, over 100 volunteer hours at the local soup kitchen last semester alone. Lambda Chi Alpha has also partnered as a sponsor of Healthy Pokes, a program helping at risk elementary aged children through physical fitness, nutrition, and state of health. Members of Lambda Chi Alpha raise money within the community to pay for these children to be able to play on organized sports teams in the community of Laramie.

The men of Lambda Chi are evidence at the University of Wyoming that you do NOT need a house to build great success!
