The Settings Button

Prior to Windows 10, settings are included in the Control Panel, which can be accessed from the Start Menu, either at the top level or under Settings.

Windows 10 and later have a Settings button, which may not have a visible title. It is located somewhere along the bottom edge of the Start Menu and looks something like this:

In Windows 11, the quickest way to open Settings is to type "Win-i" (press and hold the Windows key and press "i"). You can also right-click the Start Button and choose "Settings" from the menu that pops up:
