Unlike most capital cost input screens, the costs on the In-Furnace Controls Capital Cost parameter screen are provided as total capital costs on an energy input basis. The following parameters are on this screen:
•Base Capital Costs: The base capital costs (excluding retrofit, using gross KW) specify the total base capital costs, not considering any retrofit factors. No detailed information about direct or indirect costs is given. The costs are given as a total in units of dollars per gross kilowatt.
•Combustion Modifications: (only shown for LNB, LNB & OFA, Gas Reburn and LNB & SNCR) This is the base capital cost of the LNB, LNB & OFA, and Gas Reburn options, and the LNB removal portion of the LNB & SNCR option.
•SNCR Boiler Modifications: (only shown for SNCR, LNB & SNCR) This specifies the total base capital cost for the SNCR boiler NOx removal equipment alone.
•Retrofit Capital Cost Factors: Retrofit cost factors allow you to differentiate between the base cost of purchasing the capital equipment and the actual cost incurred. These factors vary from unit to unit. See Retrofit or Adjustment Factor Inputs for an explanation of retrofit costs.
•Combustion Modifications: (only shown for LNB, LNB & OFA, Gas Reburn and LNB & SNCR) This is the retrofit cost factor for the LNB, LNB & OFA, and Gas Reburn options, and the LNB removal portion of the LNB & SNCR option.
•SNCR Boiler Modifications: (only shown for SNCR, LNB & SNCR) This is the retrofit cost factor for the SNCR option alone.
•Total Capital Costs:
•Combustion Modifications: (only shown for LNB, LNB & OFA, Gas Reburn and LNB & SNCR) This is the total capital cost of the LNB, LNB & OFA, and Gas Reburn options, and the LNB removal portion of the LNB & SNCR option. This combines the base capital cost with the retrofit cost factor.
•SNCR Boiler Modifications: (only shown for SNCR, LNB & SNCR) This specifies the total capital cost for the SNCR boiler NOx removal equipment alone.
•%TCR Amortized: This is the percentage of the Total Capital Required (TCR) that has been amortized. This value is 0% for new equipment and may be set as high as 100% for equipment that has been paid off.
