Capture parameters for the adsorber in the solid sorbents TSA system are entered on the Capture - Adsorber parameter screen. The following parameters are shown:
•Reactor Type: 2-stage Bub. FB is currently the only option.
•Adsorber Operating Temperature: This is the operating temperature of the adsorber.
•SO2 Sorbent Loading: This is the SO2 sorbent loading.
•Rich Sorbent Loading: This is the rich sorbent loading, estimated based on detailed data from CCSI.
•Approach to Equilibrium: This is the ratio of rich sorbent loading to rich sorbent loading at equilibrium expressed as a percentage.
•Water Vapor Captured: This is the percentage of water vapor captured.
•Makeup Sorbent: This is the amount of makeup sorbent required.
•Adsorber Heat Transfer Coefficient: This is the heat transfer coefficient of the adsorber.
•Pressure Drop in Adsorber: This is the pressure drop in the adsorber.
•ID Fan Efficiency: This is the efficiency of the ID fans.
•Cold Side Heat Exchanger Heat Transfer Coeff.: This is the heat transfer coefficient of the cold-side heat exchanger.
•Cold Side Heat Exchanger Exit Temp*: This is the outlet temperature of the cold-side heat exchanger. The following related values are shown for reference:
•*Min: Adsorber Operating Temp.: This is the minimum outlet temperature.
•*Max: Regenerator Operating Temp.: This is the maximum outlet temperature.
•*Actual Cold Side Heat Exch Exit Temp.: This is the actual outlet temperature of the cold-side heat exchanger. If the value specified above is out of range, it will be adjusted appropriately. This is the value that will be used.
