IECM 12.0 beta User Manual > Modules Included with the IECM > Common Input and Result Screens > Fuels > Coal / Biomass / Waste Coal Properties > Other |
|
The Other screen displays some additional properties of coal, biomass, or waste coal which do not fall into any of the categories displayed on the other Fuel screens.
If the fuel in question is a biomass, the following properties may be shown:
•Biomass Yield:
•Wet-basis Yield: This refers to the annual quantity of target biomass produced on a wet basis, with a default value specified in the model.
•Harvest Index: (only shown for Agricultural Residue) This defines the grain yield of a crop as a fraction of aboveground biomass production, representing the distribution of production between grain and agricultural residue.
•Ag. Residue Collection Eff.: (only shown for Agricultural Residue) This indicates the efficiency of agricultural residue collection from cropland.
•Agricultural Product Properties (As-Received): This refers to grain products obtained from crop cultivation, such as corn and wheat grains. These parameters are on a wet basis.
•Higher Heating Value: (only shown for Agricultural Residue) This is the higher heating value of the agricultural product.
•Carbon: (only shown for Agricultural Residue) This is the percent by weight of carbon in the agricultural product.
The following parameter is always shown last:
•Default Delivered Cost: This is the total as-delivered cost of the fuel on a wet basis. A default value is provided for the default fuels provided in the model.
