An additional parameter for the Deep Carbon Capture option of the amine CO2 control system in PC and NGCC plants is provided on the Capture cont. parameter screen:
•Number of Absorber Intercoolers: This number indicates how many intercoolers are needed for absorbers to reject reaction heat, lower the solution temperature, and enhance CO2 removal efficiency. When the capture rate is below 99%, one intercooler is used for each absorber. Otherwise, two intercoolers are installed. This number is shown strictly for reference.
