Teaching Writing in Wyoming (TWW) is an annual state-wide colloquium aimed at bringing together writing educators in grades 6-13. The colloquium focuses on discussing best practices in curriculum, innovative approaches to teaching, and assessment practices across all levels. The colloquium often features dynamic speakers and break-out sessions.
TWW is co-sponsored by the School-University Partnership, the LeaRN Program, and the English Department. The TWW colloquium is a part of the School-University Partnership's Lost in Transition Initiative.
This fall, TWW teamed up with the Literature Summit to present the 2014 Lost in Transition: Writing and Literature in the 21st Century. 46 participants from across Wyoming came together to discuss the importance of close reading and writing for students' deeper learning.
