Together, they curate a growing academic and zine collection that encourages students to explore ideas across time and perspective. Janice, the Carol J. McMurry Distinguished Librarian for Academic Excellence, bridges UW Libraries and the Honors College, creating hands-on internship experiences that immerse students in programming, outreach, and real-world librarianship. Ella’s decision to attend the Honors Internship Fair led to a transformative mentorship that shaped her academic path and confirmed her goal of becoming an academic librarian. Their work, including the successful Guthrie House Party, demonstrates the power of connection, access to information, and shared learning. Through scholarship support and meaningful guidance, Ella found both confidence and community, while Janice rediscovered the joy that first inspired her career. Their story highlights how one conversation can spark lasting impact.

<featuredImage></featuredImage>

<tags><tag>_DO NOT USE TAGS - They will be deleted!</tag></tags>
