  • Biological Science Database  Infomation details about the resource

This interdisciplinary database offers abstracts and citations to a wide range of research in biomedicine, biotechnology, zoology and ecology and some aspects of agriculture and veterinary science. Supporting over two dozen areas of expertise, this database provides access to literature from over 6000 serials, as well as conference proceedings, technical reports, monographs, and selected books and patents.

  • Biology Database  Infomation details about the resource

This database provides access to a wide range of biology topics including some of the most popular information resources for users in academic, government and public research environments. Subject coverage includes biological chemistry, biophysics, botany, cytology and histology, environmental studies, microbiology, microscopy, and zoology.

  • BioMed Central Infomation details about the resource

BioMed Central is an STM (Science, Technology and Medicine) publisher with a large portfolio of peer-reviewed open access journals. Journals span all areas of biology, medicine and health, including broad interest and specialist journals.

  • Entomology Abstracts  Infomation details about the resource

All recent research reports of direct relevance to entomology are assembled here, with coverage including insects, arachnids, myriapods, onychophorans, and terrestrial isopods. Subject coverage includes systematics; phylogeny, morphology, and faunistics; physiology, anatomy, and biochemistry; reproduction and development; ecology, behavior and biology; genetics and evolution; and fossil forms and faunas.

  • Gene Infomation details about the resource

Genetic reference database that allows searching by free-text, sequence accession numbers, gene names, publications, Gene Ontology terms, chromosomes, or Enzyme Commission numbers. On the NCBI platform.

  • Global Plants  Infomation details about the resource

Global Plants is a community-contributed database where worldwide herbaria can share their plant type specimens, experts can determine and update naming structures, students can discover and learn about plants in context.

  • Human Genome Abstracts  Infomation details about the resource

This database offers a comprehensive source for developments and promising applications emerging from international genome research, including the massive Human Genome Project. Topics covered include gene cloning, gene therapy, and genetic screening.

  • MEDLINEplus Infomation details about the resource

Consumer health indexing/full-text database that provides information on diseases, conditions and wellness in text, videos and links to respected websites. On the National Library of Medicine platform.

  • PubAg Infomation details about the resource

National Agricultural Library's search engine covering research published by U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) scientists. Contains full-text articles relevant to the agricultural sciences, along with citations to peer-reviewed journal articles with links to publisher sites and elsewhere for full-text access. Covers all of the core topics of the agricultural sciences including nutrition, food safety, food quality, animal and crop production and protection, natural resources, sustainable agricultural systems, rural development, agricultural economic and policy issues, agricultural imports and exports, agricultural statistics, extramural research, and Extension education.

  • PubChem Infomation details about the resource

Chemical database which provides information on the biological activities of small molecules. PubChem includes substance information, compound structures, and BioActivity data in three primary databases. Search by BioAssay, Compound, Substance, or use the basic search box, which searches all three simultaneously. On the NLM platform.

  • PubMed Infomation details about the resource

Medical indexing/full-text database that provides public access to MEDLINE (see separately) and full-text on PubMed Central and other publisher websites. On the NCBI platform.

  • Science Database  Infomation details about the resource

ProQuest Science Journals features over 1,145 titles—with more than 965 available in full text. In full-text format, researchers have access to all the charts, diagrams, graphs, tables, photos, and other graphical elements so vital to scientific and technical literature. Subject coverage includes: general science, materials science, aerospace, engineering, computers, physics, telecommunications, transportation, military, astronomy, biology, earth science, chemistry, and more.

  • SciFinder Scholar  Infomation details about the resource

Major chemistry indexing database covering journals, patents, dissertations, books, and websites. Also covers specialized substance and reactions sources. Access requires creation of a personal account. On its own platform.

  • SciTech Collection  Infomation details about the resource

Areas covered include materials science, aerospace engineering, civil engineering, biology, aquatic sciences, environmental science, computer science and earth sciences in addition to many more. It fully incorporates ProQuest Natural Science Collection and ProQuest Technology Collection.

  • Web of Science (core collection)  Infomation details about the resource

Multidisciplinary indexing database that combines journal citation index databases in arts & humanities, social sciences and sciences, as well as conference proceedings and book citation indexes. The Current Chemical Reactions and Index Chemicus databases are also included in the Core Collection. All component databases can be searched separately as well.
