  • Copper Technical Reference Library  Infomation details about the resource 

    The Copper Technical Reference Library provides an online bibliographic database of the world's literature on copper, copper alloys and copper technology since 1965. The Copper Technical Reference Library covers copper technology from smelting and hydrometallurgy through the performance of copper and copper alloys in their end-use applications and service environments. It references data on the properties and performance of copper and copper alloys and on applications of the copper metals. Sources covered include over 3,000 periodicals, conference proceedings, technical reports, trade journal/newsletter items, patents, books, and press releases.

  • Knovel  Infomation details about the resource 

    Engineering indexing/full-text database that covers the publisher's books and reference sources and allows searching for numeric or tabular data. On the Knovel platform. An app for iOS and Android tablets, “My Knovel ToGo”, is available to permit offline reading.

  • Materials Business File  Infomation details about the resource 

    This database is a comprehensive index to world literature on the business and industry aspect of materials science, engineering, aerospace and advanced technologies. News, product and process developments, plant development and construction, international trade data, government regulations and management issues are all covered.

  • MatWeb Infomation details about the resource    UW login not required

    Searchable database of material properties, including data sheets of thermoplastic and thermoset polymers such as ABS, nylon, polycarbonate, polyester, polyethylene and polypropylene; metals such as aluminum, cobalt, copper, lead, magnesium, nickel, steel, superalloys, titanium and zinc alloys; ceramics; plus semiconductors, fibers, and other engineering materials.

  • PubChem Infomation details about the resource    UW login not required

    Chemical database which provides information on the biological activities of small molecules. PubChem includes substance information, compound structures, and BioActivity data in three primary databases. Search by BioAssay, Compound, Substance, or use the basic search box, which searches all three simultaneously. On the NLM platform.

  • Science (Gale in Context)  Infomation details about the resource 

    Science In Context integrates authoritative, curriculum-aligned reference content with headlines and videos, showing how scientific disciplines relate to real-world issues, from weather patterns to obesity. Millions of full-text articles are drawn from hundreds of national and global newspapers, magazines, and journals. More than 200 experiments and projects from U*X*L Experiment Central provide practical experience. Content is aligned to national and state science standards, including Common Core State Standards, Next Generation Science Standards, and Project 2061. Subject areas covered include biographies; biology; chemistry; earth and environmental science; general science; health and medicine; math, engineering and technology; and physics and astronomy.

  • Science Database  Infomation details about the resource 

    ProQuest Science Journals features over 1,145 titles—with more than 965 available in full text. In full-text format, researchers have access to all the charts, diagrams, graphs, tables, photos, and other graphical elements so vital to scientific and technical literature. Subject coverage includes: general science, materials science, aerospace, engineering, computers, physics, telecommunications, transportation, military, astronomy, biology, earth science, chemistry, and more.

  • SciFinder-n (new interface)  Infomation details about the resource 

    New interface to this major chemistry database covering journals, patents, dissertations, books, and websites, as well as specialized substance and reactions sources. Also includes the MethodsNow database of full synthetic protocols, the PatentPak interactive patent mapping tool, and the Retrosynthesis Computer-Aided Synthetic Design (CASD) module for automated retrosynthesis planning. Access requires creation of a personal account; logins previously created for SciFinder Scholar remain valid for SciFinder-n.

  • SciTech Collection  Infomation details about the resource 

    Areas covered include materials science, aerospace engineering, civil engineering, biology, aquatic sciences, environmental science, computer science and earth sciences in addition to many more. It fully incorporates ProQuest Natural Science Collection and ProQuest Technology Collection.

  • Spectral Database for Organic Compounds (SDBS) Infomation details about the resource    UW login not required

    Database of organic compounds spectra, including six spectrum types: electron impact Mass spectrum (EI-MS), Fourier transform infrared spectrum (FT-IR), 1H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrum, 13C NMR spectrum, laser Raman spectrum, and electron spin resonance (ESR) spectrum. Maintained by the Japanese National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST).

  • Web of Science (core collection)  Infomation details about the resource 

    Multidisciplinary indexing database that combines journal citation index databases in arts & humanities, social sciences and sciences, as well as conference proceedings and book citation indexes. The Current Chemical Reactions and Index Chemicus databases are also included in the Core Collection. All component databases can be searched separately as well.
