    African-American Music Reference is a comprehensive reference database that chronicles the rich history of African-American music through 1970. It offers comprehensive coverage of blues, jazz, spirituals, civil rights songs, slave songs, minstrelsy, rhythm and blues, gospel, and other forms of black American musical expression. Resources include biographies, anthologies, encyclopedias, images, lyrics (digitized and fully searchable), song sheets, chronologies, critical textbooks, a comprehensive discography of the top African-American artists, and links to editorially selected Web resources.

    Database containing over 2,000 hours of previously unpublished historic field recordings from around the world, alongside their supporting field notes and ethnographers’ metadata, for the study of music in its cultural context. On the Alexander Street platform.

    medici.tv’s library features over 1,800 programs (3,000 original works), including: concerts and archived historical concerts; operas; ballets; documentaries, artist portraits and educational programs; and master classes.

    The Oxford History of Western Music online offers an account of the evolution of Western classical music by one of the most prominent and provocative musicologists of our time, Richard Taruskin.
