    Pharmacy reference database the provides a registry and results database of federally and privately supported clinical trials conducted in the United States and around the world. On a NIH platform.

  • DrugBank Infomation details about the resource    UW login not required

    Bioinformatics and cheminformatics resource that combines detailed drug (i.e. chemical, pharmacological and pharmaceutical) data with comprehensive drug target (i.e. sequence, structure, and pathway) information.

  • Food Chemicals Codex (FCC) Infomation details about the resource    UW login not required

    Compendium of internationally recognized standards for determining the purity and quality of food ingredients. Access requires creation of a personal account using a UW email address, via USP Access Point: click "Login" at the top right of the FCC window and choose "FCC Online".

  • LactMed (Drugs and Lactation Database)   Infomation details about the resource

    Database containing information on drugs and other chemicals to which breastfeeding mothers may be exposed. It includes information on the levels of such substances in breast milk and infant blood, and the possible adverse effects in the nursing infant. Suggested therapeutic alternatives to those drugs are provided, where appropriate. On the NLM platform.

    Medical database that provides up-to-date, accurate, and easily accessed information on the diagnosis, cause, frequency, patterns, and management of liver injury attributable to prescription and nonprescription medications, herbals and dietary supplements. On the NLM platform.

  • MEDLINEplus Infomation details about the resource    UW login not required

    Consumer health indexing/full-text database that provides information on diseases, conditions and wellness in text, videos and links to respected websites. On the National Library of Medicine platform.

  • Pharmacology World  Infomation details about the resource 

    Collection of instructional videos on key concepts in pharmacology. Covers all major drug classes and include mechanism of action, key pharmacokinetics, major therapeutic uses, and common and serious adverse effects. Part of the STAT!Ref collection on the TDS Health platform.

  • Pillbox Infomation details about the resource    UW login not required

    Pillbox enables rapid identification of unknown solid-dosage medications (tablets/capsules) based on physical characteristics and high-resolution images.

  • PubChem Infomation details about the resource    UW login not required

    Chemical database which provides information on the biological activities of small molecules. PubChem includes substance information, compound structures, and BioActivity data in three primary databases. Search by BioAssay, Compound, Substance, or use the basic search box, which searches all three simultaneously. On the NLM platform.

    Medical indexing/full-text database that provides public access to MEDLINE (see separately) and full-text on PubMed Central and other publisher websites. On the NCBI platform.

  • SciFinder-n (new interface)  Infomation details about the resource 

    New interface to this major chemistry database covering journals, patents, dissertations, books, and websites, as well as specialized substance and reactions sources. Also includes the MethodsNow database of full synthetic protocols, the PatentPak interactive patent mapping tool, and the Retrosynthesis Computer-Aided Synthetic Design (CASD) module for automated retrosynthesis planning. Access requires creation of a personal account; logins previously created for SciFinder Scholar remain valid for SciFinder-n.

  • UpToDate   Infomation details about the resource

    Medical reference database that provides evidence-based articles authored by physicians. On the Wolters Kluwer Health platform. NOTE: For use by University of Wyoming students and faculty only.

  • USP-NF   Infomation details about the resource

    Database of FDA-enforceable quality standards for drugs, dietary supplements, excipients, procedures for tests, assays, analytical methods, and more, published by the U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention. Requires creation of free personal login account using a University of Wyoming email account.

  • Web of Science (core collection)  Infomation details about the resource 

    Multidisciplinary indexing database that combines journal citation index databases in arts & humanities, social sciences and sciences, as well as conference proceedings and book citation indexes. The Current Chemical Reactions and Index Chemicus databases are also included in the Core Collection. All component databases can be searched separately as well.
