Frequently Asked Questions

Move-in is scheduled for Saddle Up participants from 8:30 am – 3:00 pm on August 14, 2022. Residents that are not participating in Saddle Up will move in on August 18, 2022.

Drop us an email with your requested change.  Should your desired space become available prior to move-in, we will update your booking and let you know!  Otherwise, you will move into your assigned space and work with the residence coordinator of your building for a possible room change later in the semester.

Packing can be overwhelming – we've tried to make it as simple as possible. Check out our move-in guide and our Preparing for Move-In page to make your packing easier.

There will be several moving carts available to assist with moving your belongings into your room. To use a cart, you will have to leave behind an ID (not your WyoOne card) until returned. Residents are welcome to bring their own moving supplies (i.e., dolly) as well!

We recommend no more than two people for move-in, however, if you need to have more people to assist in moving on campus, that is ok.

There may be some lines for the elevators and carts, but they move quickly!

All students are part of a process called roommate agreements. Your Resident Assistant (RA) will talk with you about completing your agreement. If something falls through or if one roommate is not holding up the agreement, your RA will assist you in a mediation process.

Yes! air fryers are allowed if they meet our wattage standards (<1500 watts). However, Instant Pots are not allowed.

Emotional Support Animals (ESA) and Service animals are allowed in the halls. However, you must talk with Disability Support Services before moving into the halls. They will work with our Housing Contracts team to make sure accommodation is met.

Of course! We encourage it! Any University of Wyoming student with over six credit hours per semester is eligible!

There are no curfews, but there are noise, quiet, and courtesy hours.
During all hours of the day, excessive noise is prohibited. Noise should not be heard from more than two doors away from your room.
Quiet hours are observed from 10 pm - 8 am on weeknights, and 12 am – 8 am on weekends. There are 24-hour quiet hours during the final ten days of the semester.
