These are among the construction activities scheduled May 23-29 at the University of Wyoming:

The UW Facilities Planning Office reports the following activities scheduled for the week:

The buildings along Soule Street will be deconstructed with no-parking signs set up along the west side of Soule with intermediate sidewalk closures. Materials are being separated for recycle/re-use where possible. The entire three blocks are fenced off so pedestrian and vehicle traffic will need to go around that area.

Concrete will be poured in the tread pads of Stair #1. Metal wall stud framing continues at the interior walls of the first, second and third floors. Exterior wall framing, the roof parapet and sheathing will continue on the north, south, and roof parapet. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough-in will go in overhead and in walls. Masonry will be installed on the west side. The piping for the water fire line will be installed on the south side.

Education Annex (Scheduled Completion: Fall 2010) -- Art design and related finish upgrades are being installed on the second and third floors. Concrete grinding is scheduled this week. Evening and weekend work will continue through summer.
